No Terraria doesn't have crossplay: each platform family has its own players. PC, Mac and Linux players can play together; PS5 and PS4 players can play together; Xbox Series and Xbox One players can play together; Switch 2 and Switch players can play together; iOS and Android players can play together.
Crossplay between PC, consoles and mobile is coming but isn't out yet. On September 24, 2026, Re-Logic said Crossplay Phase One (part of update 1.4.6) is getting its finishing touches and should arrive in the near future, with a Phase Two to follow. Until then, each platform family plays separately.
Today, Windows, Mac and Linux players can join each other through Steam or by IP address (which is how GOG copies connect), and iOS and Android players can play together.
Consoles stay within their own family: PS5 runs the PS4 version, Xbox Series X|S runs the Xbox One version, and Switch 2 runs the Switch version. The PS3, Xbox 360 and PS Vita versions stopped getting updates in 2016, so they're stuck on an older version and can't join current games.
Mobile players can connect to a PC dedicated server, but the official Terraria wiki calls this likely unintentional, so don't count on it.
On PC, crossplay covers GOG and Steam.
Cross-progression: No Progress stays on the platform you played on.
