ARK: Survival Evolved crossplay
Partly ARK: Survival Evolved has crossplay, but players are split into 2 separate groups that can't meet: PC, Mac and Linux; PC and Xbox One. PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch have no crossplay.
Steam and Epic players can play together only on dedicated servers started with crossplay turned on, and those servers can't run mods. Non-dedicated sessions hosted from a player's game have no crossplay.
The Microsoft Store/Xbox app PC version plays with Xbox One; the Steam version can't join them. PlayStation and Switch players only play with their own platform.
Studio Wildcard shut the official servers for PC, Xbox and PlayStation in September 2023 when ARK: Survival Ascended launched, and the Switch official servers closed on August 31, 2026. Single-player, non-dedicated and unofficial servers still work.
On PC, crossplay covers Epic, Steam and Xbox app.
Some platforms are marked as partial support: crossplay works with limits (for example only some modes, or an opt-in setting).
