Is Borderlands 2 cross-platform?
Borderlands 2 crossplay
No Borderlands 2 doesn't have crossplay: each platform family has its own players.
On Windows, Steam and Epic Games Store players can play together: link a SHiFT account and add each other as SHiFT friends.
Mac and Linux players can no longer join Windows players. A 2020 Windows update broke it, and Aspyr, which made the Mac and Linux versions, said no more updates were planned for them.
Consoles only play with the same console. Gearbox wanted console crossplay at launch, but the platform holders refused.
On PC, crossplay covers Epic and Steam.
The Android version doesn't have crossplay with other platforms.
