Q: Does Borderlands 3 have cross-progression?

Partly. Characters stay on the platform where you made them, except that you can move between the Steam and Epic versions on PC.

Yes Borderlands 3 supports crossplay between PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Mac.

PC (Steam and Epic), Mac, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S all play together through Gearbox's SHiFT matchmaking. PlayStation joined in June 2022, so older articles saying PlayStation is left out are out of date.

Crossplay is opt-in: choose Enable Crossplay at launch, sign in with a free SHiFT account and pick a unique crossplay display name.

The Switch version only plays with other Switch players.

On PC, crossplay covers Epic and Steam.
