Q: Does Risk of Rain 2 have cross-progression?

No. There's no cross-save; the PS5 version could import a PS4 save once when it launched in 2024.

No Risk of Rain 2 doesn't have crossplay: each platform family has its own players. PS5 and PS4 players can play together; Xbox Series and Xbox One players can play together.

On PC, Steam and Epic players can play together. Players with crossplay on can't join players who have it off.

There's no crossplay between PC and consoles, or between PlayStation, Xbox and Switch.

Cross-generation play is ending. 2K has said future content goes only to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and that the next PlayStation and Xbox update will stop PS4 players joining PS5 players and Xbox One players joining Xbox Series X|S players. PS4 and Xbox One owners get the newer version free if they upgrade consoles. The Switch version also gets no more content.

On PC, crossplay covers Epic and Steam.

Some platforms are marked as partial support: crossplay works with limits (for example only some modes, or an opt-in setting).
