Is It Takes Two cross-platform?
It Takes Two crossplay
Partly It Takes Two supports crossplay between PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch 2. Nintendo Switch is separate.
Crossplay arrives on October 15, 2026, alongside the Nintendo Switch 2 version: PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Switch 2 players can all play together. Before that, online co-op only worked within one platform family (PS4 with PS5, Xbox One with Xbox Series X|S).
Only one player needs to own the game: EA says a partner on another platform can join with the free Friend's Pass.
The original Switch version isn't part of crossplay. Switch owners get the Switch 2 version as a free upgrade, and a Switch 1 player can only play online with a Switch 2 player who switches back to the original Switch version.
